Everyone is accounted for now. Frank, Sun, and Ben landed with the rest of the planes survivors on the small island, and Jack, Kate, Hurley & Sayid are back in 1977. Despite Sawyer’s thoughtful approach to leadership (one that I am sure comes from being a successful con artist), I think Sayid showing up the way he did will turn out to be more than Sawyer can handle. Too bad, because I think I like Sawyer being in charge rather than Jack.
We saw Ben as a boy. I wasn’t at all surprised by that. The baby, however, turned out to be Ethan. So, either the Others spared him when they took over, or else they abducted him before then, something that we have known them to do on a couple of situations.
Christian is looking more and more real each time we see him. I think we can safely say that he is not a ghost. He seems to have a plan on how to reunite everyone. My guess is that someone (or some two?) is going to have to go back to 1977 to bring them back. How are they going to do that? Turn the wheel again? Meanwhile, what is Locke going to be up to?

Why are they there
- Locke - Both Alpert and Abaddonhave been watching Locke for a long time, presumably because of the time traveling he was doing. Abaddon seems to be working for Widmore, as he is the one who hired Naomi, Faraday, Lapidus, Miles, and Charlotte. Abaddon convinced Locke to go to Australia on a walk-about, which ultimately got him on flight 815.
- Jack Sheppard - I have to wonder if Christian, Jacks father, already had some affiliation to the Island, seeing as he is standing in as proxy for Jacob lately. Part of Dharma involved medical advancements, and we have seen that some people on the Island seem to heal extremely fast. When the Sarah, woman who would become Jacks wife, was in an accident, Jack was able to miraculously heal her. I wonder if Christian, with the help of Island resources, played a hand in that.
- Claire Littleton - Claire is Christian Sheppard's daughter. Again, Christian seems to be important to the Island somehow. Her son, Aaron, may be important too, if the psychic is to be believed. One thought, though: Did the psychic get Claire on flight 815 so she would have to be the one to raise Aaron, or did he use the pregnance as an excuse to get Claire to the Island? In sort, who needed to be on the Island, Aaron or Claire?
- Hurley - When Hurley was in the hospital, there was another patient, Lenny, who kept repeating the numbers. Hurley picked up on those number, and won the lottery with them. That put him on someones radar. My theory is that when Lenny's obsession with the numbers is discovered, Libby is hired by Widmore to go undercover as a patient in the hospital (Widmore is desparetly trying to find the Island, and the numbers are his only lead). Then, perhaps as a separate initiative, Widmore somehow rigs the lottery to come up with the Islands number, to flush out some other lead. When Hurley wins with those numbers, Libby is then tasked with trailing Hurley....
- Kate - Kate's step-father is in the military. He served in Iraq with Inman (the man who taught Sayid to torture, and Desmond to push the button). Does this make her important, too, somehow?
- Jin and Sun - Jin was sent by his father-in-law on a mission to deliver a watch. Is Sun's father working with someone involved in the Island? Who was the watch to be delivered to? Widmore? Was the watch even significant, or was it just a ruse to get Jin and Sun on the flight?
- Sawyer - I'm grasping at straws here. Locke is important to the Island. Locke's father was a con man, and he destroyed Sawyers family. Sawyer eventually grows to emulate him. One of his marks, the one who has his baby, bumped into Kate once. Somehow this all puts him o the radar. They are not sure if he is important, but better safe than sorry, so they get him on Oceanic 815.
- Michael and Walt - Did someone from the Island cause Walt's mother to die, so that Michael would go to Australia to get Walt? And was Walt really more than the Others expected, or did they have other plans for him? Plans that he has yet to fulfill?
- Charley - Charley is an innocent bystander. He did meet Desmond in England, when Desmond first started time traveling. As a musician, he was able to figure out how to turn off the radio jammer, but he was supposed to be dead by then, so the Oceanic Six were not supposed to get off the Island. My guess is that the Island didn't want him there, but he worked in Widmores favor.
- Boone and Shannon - Shannon's father was killed in the same crash that injured Sarah, Jacks' future wife. Might Jack have been able to save him if he didn't concentrate on treating Sarah?
- Anna Lucia - Innocent bystander. She was with Christian in Australia.

So sorry not to participate these last few weeks. It must be really frustrating for you to put forth the effort and not get a response.
I guess I don't have much to add. AS usual, only questions. Does Kate know about Sawyer and Juliet yet? Did Ben know about the big canoes from his previous time on the island? Didn't you love Sun knocking out Ben?! Didn't you love the picture of everyone that Christian showed Sun and Frank? I like your idea that Christian will pull everyone into the present. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode.
With Sawyer and Juliet living together, if Kate doesn't know yet, she must be blind.
If the truth be told, I think that Kate would prefer Sawyer, and Juliet would prefer Jack. Unfortunately, Both Jack ans Sawyer would prefer Kate. I'm sure that they will waste some time telling that story.
Yes, Sun is nobody's fool. I think that she will have some important roll in the future, where we will think that she will do one thing, and she will surprise us all by doing the exact opposite, and it will be the one thing that will save the day.
